The Music Curriculum

Through our music curriculum we aim to engage and inspire children to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, increasing their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. Children develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose and to listen to a range of music from across the ages.

Within our creative curriculum we provide opportunities to enhance music provision further through theme-based sessions. Our music curriculum is enriched by visits from the Coventry Performing Arts Service and other specialist musicians and through links with our local Secondary Schools. Children are given the chance to participate and perform in a variety of events, such as the Morning of Music and the Big Sing. We also have a choir and a band, which give children a further chance to develop their musical talents and abilities, whilst nurturing a lifelong love of music.
