Minister of State for School Standards Visits Hearsall Community Academy
Hearsall Community Academy was delighted to welcome Georgia Gould OBE MP, Minister of State for School Standards, to the school today, alongside our local MP Taiwo Owatemi MP.
The visit provided an opportunity for Claire Jones, our Headteacher, and Lois Whitehouse, CEO of Inspire Education Trust, to showcase the school's Specialist Resource Provisions and highlight the work taking place to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
During the visit, we shared how Hearsall and Inspire Education Trust work together to provide inclusive, high quality education that enables every child to flourish, ensuring specialist support is embedded alongside outstanding classroom practice.
The discussions also explored a number of important issues currently affecting schools, including attendance, Early Years education and the increasing number of children with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans. These conversations provided an opportunity to share both the successes and the challenges schools are experiencing, while demonstrating Hearsall's commitment to ensuring every child receives the support they need.
We would like to thank Georgia Gould OBE MP and Taiwo Owatemi MP for taking the time to visit Hearsall Community Academy and for their interest in the work taking place to support children and families across our community.
